Restaurant fit-out

Shoreditch, East London

Full fit-out of a 70-cover restaurant in a former warehouse unit: commercial kitchen, extraction, front of house and licensing works.

Restaurants are the hardest fit-outs to programme because the kitchen decides everything. Extraction routes, gas supply upgrades and drainage falls were resolved before the design was signed off, which is why this one opened on the date printed on the invitations.

Front of house, the warehouse fabric was kept and cleaned rather than covered: brick walls sealed, the concrete floor ground and polished, and new joinery built around the original steel columns.
